Faculty Member, Classics
About
I recently received my PhD from Harvard University and am a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of Classics at Wabash College in Crawfordsville, Indiana, for the 2011–2012 academic year. My teaching and research interests focus on Latin literature (especially historiography and rhetoric), imperial Greek prose, Greek and Roman social and cultural history, and Greek and Roman religion. I am particularly fascinated by the idea of religious transgression in the Greek and Roman world and am writing a book on temple robbery in the Roman world. Other current projects include an article on Ciceronian invective and mythology and a study of Appian’s literary aspects.
